South Asia across the Nordic Region (SANR)

The South across the Nordic Region (SANR) aims to present cutting edge research undertaken by Nordic scholars, and to facilitate greater collaboration across Nordic research institutions and universities. The need for such a meeting forum has been acutely felt by scholars, especially young scholars in need of mentorship and support in the early career stage. We see this scholarly meeting as an important step towards building up future frameworks of cooperation.

The inaugural meeting of SANR took place on 27th June 2017 in Copenhagen. https://asiandynamics.ku.dk/english/adi-conference-2017/south-asia-across-the-nordic-region/ The meeting brought together scholars and policy practitioners from the Nordic region and South Asia together where future pathways for scholarly and policy collaborations were discussed. The second meeting followed in Oslo, 5-6th June 2018 with an expanded academic programme and a greater participation. https://www.sum.uio.no/english/research/networks/network-for-asian-studies/events/south-asia-across-the-nordic-region-2018.html
